My name is Jodie, I've spent over twenty years caring for people as a nurse, through my profession I developed contact dermatitis, I struggled to find products that genuinely helped my skin.
That journey eventually led to creating Tallow Shack.
On the rolling hills of Molong, NSW, where we established a direct connection with two local farms committed to 100% grass and pasture-raised animals. Tallow Shack was born!

Our Story.......
Handcrafted in Yandina on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast, every Tallow Shack product begins with tallow sourced directly from trusted farms in Molong, New South Wales. We've walked the paddocks, met the farmers, and seen firsthand how their animals are raised. Our beef and lamb suet comes exclusively from 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised animals, allowing us to create skincare that's as pure and natural as possible.

Why We Started
Tallow Shack was born from a personal journey. For as long as I can remember, I struggled with sensitive skin caused by contact dermatitis. Dry, cracked, itchy skin became something I simply learned to live with. After more than 20 years working in nursing, I have tried countless steroid creams, moisturisers, prescription treatments, and spent thousands of dollars on products recommended by GP's and demonologist after expensive doctor's appointments—yet nothing provided lasting relief. Eventually, I began looking more closely at the ingredients in the products I was using. I realised that our skin absorbs much of what we apply to it, inspiring me to seek our simpler, gentler, and more natural solutions.
Knowing the farmers we source our suet from gave me the opportunity to make my very first batch of tallow balm for my own personal use. The difference it made to my skin was remarkable. That moment sparked a passion for learning the traditional art of rendering and refining tallow into premium skincare. What started as a personal solution quickly became a mission to create products I could confidently share with family, friends, nursing co-workers, and others searching for natural skincare that truly nourishes.
Today, every Tallow Shack product is handcrafted in small batches using carefully sourced grass-fed tallow and thoughtfully selected natural ingredients—made with the same care and attention that transformed my own skin.

Skin Nutrition
At Tallow Shack, we believe health begins on the pasture. Sourced directly from two pristine farms in Molong, NSW, our beef and lamb tallow comes exclusively from 100% grass and pasture-raised animals. Tallow mimics your skin's natural structure, delivering deep nourishment through our body and facial moisturisers, heel balms, lip balms, deodorants and natural soaps without the need for synthetic additives. We add Jojoba oil to our balms which helps to regulate our sebum/ oil production. It is rich in Vitamin E which is known to sooth inflammation, healing and antioxidants.

Tallow Shack soap has been a great way to wash my hands. The soap did not react with my skin, even the cracked areas on my fingers felt great afterwards, so that I wasn't needing my medicated cream as often, after I used it daily, and I found the scent to be quite pleasant, and it wasn't overpowering at all
The soap felt great on the skin, hydrating and moisturising as well. I am very happy to try other soaps to see if they are just as compatible with my skin.
